Update Instructions Follow these to upgrade your SpoolFlex/FormFlex software.

Are you using SpoolFlex to e-mail or fax documents or to send them to your File Server? Have you ever had trouble getting documents to the recipient? Wouldn’t it be nice if you could quickly find the specific distribution, verify the document and the recipient, and resend it to the appropriate person all from one easy-to-use screen?
You can with the SpoolFlex Audit Trail module. The SpoolFlex Audit Trail module saves a copy of all of your distributions and gives you the ability to access previously distributed documents. Once the document is found, you have the option to view the document (even if it is a PDF or Excel spreadsheet), verify the recipients e-mail address, and quickly resend the document by simply entering option "R=Resend". Q: Can I use Twitter from SpoolFlex/FormFlex?
A: Yes you can. First, you need to setup a TwitterMail account. Once you sign into TwitterMail with your information, you will be assigned a unique e-mail. For example, d86b7a@twittermail.com. You can then send e-mails from SpoolFlex to this address and they will show up as tweets. There are some configuration options in the TwitterMail page that displays the subject, body, or both as your tweet.

Q: Can I put my file onto a local file server?
A: Yes. SpoolFlex and FormFlex can output files to e-mail, your IFS folder, or directly to your Windows-based file servers.

Q: How is duplex printing handled when printing forms in FormFlex?
A: You can set up options for duplex printing in the Form Header. From FormFlex main menu, select option 1 = Design Forms. Select option 13 = Edit Header. Press F8 = More Options, then select option 1 = Page Setup. You will find Duplex/Simplex options toward the bottom of the screen. Specify form name in the ‘2nd Form Name’ field. Now, place cursor in the ‘Print Conditions’ field, and press F4 to view the list. Select one of the following options:
Duplex all pages
Duplex first page only
Duplex first page Copy 1 only
Duplex last page only
Simplex insert first page
Simplex insert last page
Duplex 1st page of Doc
Duplex last page of Doc

SpoolFlex Basic Training

If you purchased one-time training and have not yet attended, or if you have purchased our one-year unlimited training, we hope you can join us in one of the upcoming sessions. SpoolFlex Advanced Training

Excel Definition Using Insert Column Option: This class will show you how to take data from the report heading section and put it into columns in the detail section. This is a short class that is designed for users who already have experience creating Output Definitions and now would like to learn about the "Insert Column A & B" option. This session will further cover a few of the features that were mentioned in the SpoolFlex Basic Training session.

SpoolFlex automates the delivery of reports electronically to eliminate printing and manual distribution. SpoolFlex AS400 Excel and PDF conversion gets data where users need it, without hardware, and at the speed of light.

FormFlex (the native iSeries software) lets you print electronic forms and checks on standard HP-compatible laser printers using plain-cut sheet paper. It also allows you to copy them to PDF to automatically e-mail, fax, and electronically file to network file servers. No PC hardware or custom programming is required.

ReportFlex allows you to reformat reports into easy-to-read and easy-to-manage reports without any programming. Its features include changing column headings, inserting lines, and inserting page breaks.

eSign, an electronic signature software, allows you to electronically sign your documents to print on laser printers.
