New From the Lab

In the latest version of SpoolFlex (4.2) we added improvements to the Conversion to Excel Process. Now you have control of some additional Excel attributes:

• Page Size (LEGAL, LETTER, STATEMENT, etc.)
• Word Wrapping (Y or N)
• Column Width (Specify column width)
• Leading spaces in left justified text column (M = Retains leading blanks)
• Support for numeric fields with up to 8 decimal places
• Ability to freeze columns on the left side
• When using *VISUAL and changing Column Headings, increased length from 15 to 20
• When using *VISUAL and changing Column Headings, increased Number of headings from 3 to 4
• Ability to highlight Negative Numbers by specific columns rather than all columns
• Increased number of conditions for highlighting Complete Rows from 3 to 5
• Increased number of conditions for highlighting specific cells from 3 to 5
• Change of screen to display Column Attributes Horizontally to better simulate a spreadsheet

With the release of our new and much improved V4 eMail, we have had requests for a training session specific to the new V4 eMail. This training has been scheduled for the month of November, please check the training schedule for specific date and time.

Answers to your Questions

• Can I send an eMail to multiple people through one process?
  Yes. You can create a group in your Address Book, and add individuals to that group from the address book. Everyone in that group will then receive the eMail.
   
• Can I easily change my column headings with SpoolFlex?
  Yes. In the *VISUAL method of the Excel Output Definition, you can change your column headings. You can also highlight them.
   
• Can I put my file onto a local file server?
  Yes. SpoolFlex and FormFlex can output files to eMail, your IFS folder, or directly to your Windows based file servers.

SpoolFlex Basic Training will give you the tools to start converting reports to e-Formats and hit the ground running.  This is a basic overview of the product and is designed for people who are just starting to use SpoolFlex. If you have been using SpoolFlex for a while and have specific questions regarding your spooled files, then please give us a call and we will be happy to help you one-on-one.

Recent Additions to DRV Family of Customers

Message from the President

I am pleased to announce that we have two additional members to our Support Team. We have been short handed as some of you have let me know. It did take longer to find someone than it had been planned for. However, I think you will be very pleased with our choices. The first one, Leonard, is probably familiar to many of you as he worked for us in the past. Leonard has a lot of experience with our software and with many of you. He is already taking calls as though he had never left. The second one is Maria (pronounced Mariah). She will be working more behind the scenes with the Support Team, taking some of their workload off. This will give Tech Support team more time to work directly with you and address your questions and issues.
