Thanks to our valued customers, 2009 provided DRV with unprecedented growth. Additionally, we received enhancement requests that will not only improve our existing software offering, but add completely new modules as well. To say thank you to our family of customers, DRV is making a one-time offer.
Clients that already own SpoolFlex can add FormFlex electronic forms software to their configuration and get a $500 discount! Additionally, If you add the Secure Checks laser check add-on, you will receive a $1,500 discount! The order must be placed by February 28, 2010 to take advantage of this offer. If you’ve thought about switching to electronic forms or replacing an expensive older legacy forms system, DRV has the tools priced for you to get started right away.
Clients that already own FormFlex can add any SpoolFlex report conversion and distribution module(s) to their configuration and get a 30% discount! (The PCL2PDF forms conversion module is excluded.) The order must be placed by February 28. If you’ve considered adding Excel and PDF conversion to your DRV FlexTools, take advantage of this great value.
New product – MessageFlex
I would also like to take this opportunity to announce the release of our newest FlexTools module, MessageFlex, a message queue monitor and notification software. MessageFlex monitors IBM i message queues for system and program messages sending notifications by e-mail, text message or instant message in real time.
MessageFlex provides system administrators with proactive system management instantly as these messages appear, potentially avoiding disaster. With this kind of instant notification, you will be able to find bugs before your users do!
The pricing for this stand-alone module is $2,995, but for existing customers ,we are offering the new module at just $1,570.To take advantage or discuss what these add-ons can do for you, call 866 378-3366 or e-mail Christopher David at cdavid@drvtech.com.

Current version 4.6.3 was released on December 18, 2009.
Enhancement List See what is new in the latest version.
Update Instructions Follow these instructions to upgrade your SpoolFlex/FormFlex software.
In the past, we have had some support issues with spooled files in output queue SFOUTQ. All of the issues were resolved by having the customer move his or her spooled files into another output queue. You should never put your spooled files in output queue SFOUTQ or SFOUTQ2. The output queues SFOUTQ and SFOUTQ2 are shipped with our software. They are used in our product for tutorials and for our technical team during a support call. Since these output queues are used in the tutorial and during support issues, these output queues could be cleared at any time and all spooled files can be deleted. For this reason, you should place your spooled files into another output queue or create an output queue specifically for your spooled files.
Our new product MessageFlex has now been released.
MessageFlex is a message monitoring application. It can be used to monitor for specific messages or for specific message types and forward the message via email or text message. We use MessageFlex to monitor for messages generated by our nightly backup to notify our operations team whenever an error occurs. There are lots of uses for monitoring for messages, and being proactive at getting issues resolved rather than reactive is our goal.
| Answers to Your Questions |
|
Q: Every time I open Managed Spooled Files, it defaults to SFOUTQ. Can I change this?
A: Yes. If you go into the setup menu, and then into user defaults, you can create a user default that matches your login profile. Then, whenever you use an option, it will pull your custom values in, like an output queue for example.
Q: I am creating form using FormFlex. Is there a way to use a watermark image in a form?
A: Yes. A watermark image is simply a light gray image. It can be made lighter using any image editing software and then can be imported into FormFlex like any other image.
