It is time for everyone to say goodbye to V3 email in SpoolFlex
We have had the new V4 e-mail in SpoolFlex for over 1 ½ years now. There are many enhancements that come along with the V4 e-mail. Making the switch from using V3 e-mail to V4 e-mail within SpoolFlex is very easy.
We will be dropping support for the old V3 e-mail sometime in the first quarter of next year. If you would like assistance in switching over, which only takes a few minutes, please notify our support team and someone would be happy to assist you. If you are currently running SpoolFlex V4.0 dated 06/01/2008 or higher, you have everything you need to switch over to V4 e-mail.
If you are running V4 SpoolFlex you still may be using V3 e-mail and still need to switch over to V4 e-mail. If you are running a SpoolFlex version prior to V4.0, then you will need to update to the latest version of SpoolFlex before switching over to V4 e-mail. Someone from our support team would be happy to assist you with the update process.

Q: I have created a form using FormFlex. Can this form be made into a multi-copy form?
A: FormFlex allows you to format a form to be a multi-copy document. In the FormFelx main menu, select option '1=Design Forms'. Find a form and use option '13=Edit Header' to set up the Form Header.

Q: In FormFlex, how do I print a blank form?
A: In the FormFlex main menu, select option '1=Design Forms'. Go to the form header by using option '13=Edit Header' on the form which you want to print. Type '*NONE' in the Output Queue field and press enter. You can then use option '6' to print the form.

SpoolFlex Advanced Training

Spool Data Field (SDF) in the e-mail subject: This class will demonstrate how to include data from your spooled file in the subject of the e-mail that you send through Report Distribution. This class is designed for users who already have experience with Output Definitions, Report Distributions, and Spool Sentries and now would like to learn more about advanced features.

SpoolFlex automates the delivery of reports electronically to eliminate printing and manual distribution. SpoolFlex AS400 Excel and PDF conversion gets data where users need it, without hardware, and at the speed of light.

FormFlex (the native iSeries software) lets you print electronic forms and checks on standard HP-compatible laser printers using plain-cut sheet paper. It also allows you to copy them to PDF to automatically e-mail, fax, and electronically file to network file servers. No PC hardware or custom programming is required.

ReportFlex allows you to reformat reports into easy-to-read and easy-to-manage reports without any programming. Its features include changing column headings, inserting lines, and inserting page breaks.

eSign, an electronic signature software, allows you to electronically sign your documents to print on laser printers.
