API Highlight - SpoolFlex Zip - SFAZIP
Have you found that creating multiple PDF and Excel files and saving them long-term consumes a large amount of space? A PC environment allows users to zip files, compressing them to, up to 90% of the original size. Unfortunately, no native IBM zip command exists for the Power Systems (IBM i, iSeries, AS/400) . The SpoolFlex Zip API (SFAZIP), which is included in the SpoolFlex Advanced Utilities, is resolution for these machines. The API lets you compress any PC-formatted file stored in the IFS or on your file server. SFAZIP API accepts different parameters for the file that you would like to zip such as the name you want to assign to the compressed file and what folder you would like to place it in. If you have any questions concerning the SpoolFlex SFAZIP API, contact our support team at support@drvtech.com.

| Answers to Your Questions |
- Q: Can I send an e-mail to multiple people through one process?
A: Yes. The Address Book allows you to create and edit groups. Address the message to that particular group, and each e-mail address in that group will receive the e-mail.
- Q: How do I print more than one copy of a form created in FormFlex?
A: From the FormFlex main menu, simply select option 1 = Design Forms. From there select option 13 = Edit Header. In the Form Header screen, specify a number in the ‘Copies’ field in the ‘New Spooled File Output’ section.
- Q: Can I easily change my column headings with SpoolFlex?
A: Yes. In the *VISUAL method of the Excel Output Definition, you can change your column headings. You can also highlight them there.
